We are excited to announce that we now offer closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections to identify problems in sewer systems and provide a no-dig rehabilitation solution.
CCTV cameras, also known as sewer cameras or pipe inspection cameras, are waterproof, high-definition cameras that are the most modern and advanced diagnostic tools available for this task.
Used to conduct sewer inspections with heightened accuracy, CCTV cameras uncover any damages or obstructions within the sewer system. This remote control camera is fed through an access point (typically a manhole), and then maneuvered through the infrastructure to the point of the damage or obstruction. The captured footage is sent directly to a video screen, giving us a live view of the affected area.
They are used to monitor the performance of newly installed pipes, investigate unexplained flow conditions, locate blockages, cracks and deformations, as well as for detecting leak areas.
Routine inspection helps to minimize the risk of more serious problems, like sewer backups and overflows. Most inspections are part of a routine maintenance program, though some operations are in response to unexpected blockages. These help to identify potential blockages and to monitor the structural health of pipes.
CCTV inspections are an environmentally friendly, cost-effective method of inspecting manholes, sewer mains and more. These inspections include the use of:
- GIS software that can update existing databases
- Lateral launching inspection and technology
- Mainline televising using closed-circuit color TV units
- Camera services for 6” – 72” lines
- Pipe Assessment Certification Program (PACP) certified operators
- NASSCO-certified PACP reporting software for defect coding
- Pan and tilt camera head for 360-degree rotation
- Smoke and dye testing
